About this project
PA Agent (Invoice AI) is a desktop AI assistant built for small Malaysian businesses. It reads your invoices — plain PDF or scanned photo — extracts the customer name, invoice number, date, and total, then stores everything in a local database on your own computer. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud.
Once your invoices are in, you can ask questions the way you would ask a person: "How much did Ahmad Traders spend last year?", "Who are my top 5 customers?", "Which customers haven't bought since January?" The AI answers in plain language, drawing on your real data.
Beyond Q&A, PA Agent handles the paperwork. It can ingest a whole folder of invoices in one click, organise them into a clean per-customer folder tree, and watch a drop-folder so new invoices are filed the moment they arrive. Items the AI is uncertain about go into a Needs Review queue — nothing gets silently misplaced.

Handles plain PDFs and scanned photos or images. Uses DeepSeek for text PDFs and Qwen OCR (cloud, free tier) or Tesseract (offline) for scanned documents. Reads mixed Malay, English, and Chinese text.
Plain-language Q&A
Ask anything about your data in plain language — totals by customer, date ranges, top spenders, overdue accounts. No formulas, no filters.
Bulk ingest & auto-filing
Point it at a folder of invoices and it reads them all. Each invoice is filed into a clean per-customer sub-folder automatically. Uncertain files go to Needs Review, never silently lost.
Inbox Watcher
Drop new invoices into a watch folder and they are filed automatically — no manual steps needed.
Fully local & offline
All data stays on your computer in a local SQLite database. No cloud storage, no subscription server. Your business data belongs to you.
Built for Malaysian SMEs
Handles company names and document text in Malay, English, and Chinese. Ships with a complete filing structure for Malaysian SME documents — invoices, delivery orders, bank statements, LHDN, EPF/SOCSO, and more.
